Let me introduce myself. My name is Alan L. Ramsdell and I am the owner of Auto Buying Consultants of Maine. I have been involved in the automobile industry for over 40 years.

Our Mission

My retail experience has included positions as sales and leasing consultant, sales manager, general manager, and owner of two large southern Maine dealerships.

Auto Buying Consultants (ABC) of Maine began approximately 18 years ago as a result of requests by potential buyers for advice, counseling and assistance with their new or used vehicle purchase or lease. These potential clients really disliked the process of buying a vehicle and wanted a service that handled all the details. As a result our company has continued to grow every year primarily through the referrals of our satisfied customers. We are a personal service helping the people of Maine purchase or lease the vehicle of their choice. 

Most buyers have the same concerns: they pay too much, waste a great deal of time, and dislike the entire buying experience. ABC of Maine addresses all these concerns. We offer a comprehensive full service package to the consumer: new, used, leasing, and trade-ins. We are there for the entire transaction from pricing to delivery.

We are not affiliated with any dealerships. Our personalized service is for the consumer. Our fees are paid by the consumer. We try our best to obtain the lowest price on new, used, and leased vehicles.
